Coconut is often a feature in many African dishes and although this chutney originates from South India, it can be found in many cafe’s and restaurants around Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya and is often eaten in our house. It’s easy to make, tastes great and goes with almost every savoury snack so give it a try!
1 coconut chopped into small chunks
Handful of chopped coriander
2 chopped green chilli (add more or less according to taste)
1/2 tsp salt
1. add the coconut, chilli’s and coriander into a blender and blend until it has become a paste
2. Squeeze in the lime and add salt and blend until mixed in
